TUCSON EVENTS Tucson Gem, Mineral & Fossil Showcase - Feb. 2 - 17 The world's largest marketplace of its kind, with nearly 50 locations throughout town (at fine hotels and resorts, in shops and attractions, and under tents) featuring international dealers of precious gems, minerals, fossils, beads, jewelry, and jewelry-making materials; and hands-on, interactive educational exhibits for children.
 American Indian Exposition - Feb. 2-16 American Indian artists and artisans selling original art and craftworks and native foods, with weekend entertainment at Flamingo Hotel. A Tucson Gem, Mineral & Fossil Showcase show.
 Tucson Rodeo - Feb. 16-24 The first Tucson Rodeo, "La Fiesta de los Vaqueros" (Celebration of the Cowboys) in 1925 touted four days of events and competition. Today, it lasts more than a week and is one of the top 20 professional rodeos in North America.
 Tucson Jewish Film Festival - Through Feb. 24 Annual film festival celebrating Jewish themes, filmmakers, and actors, at the Tucson Jewish Community Center and University of Arizona Gallagher Theater. See the website for ticket information and schedules.
 World Golf Championships - Accenture Match Play Championship - Feb. 18-24 This cornerstone of the World Golf Championship (WGC) series is staged in the Sonoran Desert foothills of the Tortolita Mountains, approximately 20 miles north of Tucson at The Gallery Golf Club at Dove Mountain, a John Fought-designed golf course rated No. 1 by Golf Digest magazine. Featuring competition between the best 64 available golfers from the Official World Golf Ranking and a purse of $7.5 million, this match-play event benefits the local chapter of The First Tee and other local and regional charities.  Southwest Indian Art Fair - Feb. 23-24 Artworks by 200 American Indian artists from around the Southwest, and musical entertainment.

 Civil War in the Southwest - Mar. 8-9 (Picacho Peak) History re-enacted by soldiers in period costume, with staged battles, encampments, and demonstrations, at the site of the only Civil War battle in Arizona-The Battle of Picacho Pass, April 15, 1862.
 St. Patrick's Day Parade & Festival - Mar. 16 Everybody is Irish at this annual downtown event for the entire family. Gather at Jacome Plaza (Main Library, 101 N. Stone Ave. There is plenty of parking at the Pennington St. garage).
 Spring Artisans Market - Mar. 28-30 More than 120 of the Southwest´s finest artists and crafters gather at the Tucson Museum of Art´s courtyards to sell their wares, including unique items from jewelry, textiles, photography, pottery, and more.
 Southern AZ Arts & Cultural Festival - Mar. 29-30 Outdoor fun, with more than 75 juried art booths, art demonstrations, live music and dance performances, children´s activities, food and free admission, at Pima Community College, Northwest Campus.
 Butterfly Magic at the Gardens - Through Mar. 31 An indoor tropical butterfly exhibit, with more than 100 species of colorful, farmed butterflies fluttering in a special greenhouse, and a public viewing room for up-close viewing of emerging butterflies.
